National Museum of Fine Arts - Infinite Vitality of Matter; Dialogues with Wood

The artist’s book “Infinite Vitality of Matter; Dialogues with Wood”, presented as part of Book Month alongside the Arsfactus collective.

“Matter does not disappear; it transforms. This conviction permeates the artist’s work, especially in this exquisite artist’s book. Each piece of wood on paper—with its grain, color, and traces of time—becomes a rare jewel under the light of lucid consciousness. Beyond ash and devastation, the hidden tree of life and the hope of a cherished and protected nature shine through these pages”.

— Isabel Cruz de Amenábar, Doctor in Art History. Excerpt from the curatorial text (2019)

“Andes Mountains,
Mother that lies still and Mother that walks,
that drives us mad as children
and makes us die when we lack it (…)”

Gabriela Mistral, Cordillera (1)
